Are these fairly soft? Like you could mush it between two fingers? Or more like slim Jims

They are fairly soft. Like a Slim Jim minus all the grease. They are sturdy enough to not break apart easily but soft enough that you can tear off small size pieces. For reference, I stick a couple in my pocket before going on a walk with my pup and tear off smaller pieces to help train her to not pull on the leash as much. Works wonders!

Chicken one has more additives whereas the beef is 100% beef with a higher protein content, just something to keep in mind.
