This projector is primarily focused for gaming, having one of the lowest latency's of any 4k projector on the market as listed in the OP's title. The LG at its best has a input lag around 45ms-55ms depending on resolution.

This projector is both good for bright living rooms as well as dedicated theater rooms, the LG primarily will only be good in a dedicated light controlled room cause of the low lumens.

This projector has 3-D the LG does not, both have HDR, both do no have HLG.

The other major difference this uses a standard light engine so lamps that need to be replaced depending on usage/settings (4000/8000 all the way to 15000 hours), while the LG wont need one the whole time you have it. If you use the different eco mods on the Benq you might not ever need one with it either.

Cool feature of the Benq it has a little compartment with a 3rd HDMI so you can plug in and power any type of HDMI video stick/fire stick/roku/whatever else you got and it also has a power port there too. Originally made for their own media stick but it will work with any.

Hardware wise this also comes with HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2 and HDMI eARC.

In short this projector is a great projector for anyone whos not sure what to get but know they will be gaming a lot. Out of the box it has good picture but it could use calibration to make it a great picture for those who actually are cinema types. Also wanted to add this is considered a standard long throw projector, not a short throw like the TK700STi, around 9 feet back to get a 100" screen to put it into perspective for people wondering.
A few reviews in case anyone is interested:

IT can do 4k/60hz, 1080p/120hz (for gaming consoles) or 1080p/240hz (for pc)...this is the limitation of HDMI 2.0b and the DLP chip itself. The 0.47" DLP chip currently used in all of these "budget" 4k DLPs doesnt support HDMI 2.1 quite yet, they are trying to come out with a new DLP chip to support HDMI 2.1 but it looks like next year or 2024 even before that ever comes to fruition. Projectors always lag behind the tv market in things like this so shouldn't be surprising. That being said, dont avoid it because it doesnt have HDMI 2.1 - 4k/120 because your console isnt really doing that anyways. You'll be gaming at 4k/60 or 1080p/120 on a console.

The biggest drawback to this projector is no vertical or horizontal lens shift. Which means you need to be perfect setting it up in the right place otherwise you might need to use keystone correction and if you have to use keystone correction you cant use the projectors "fast" mode in gaming which cuts input lag in half, so be aware of that...it is NOT easy to setup a projector perfectly with no lens shift at all, this also has a 110% offset vertical, which means if mounting on ceiling it needs to be ABOVE the projector screen.

Also last thing to keep in mind is this is a gaming focused projector, so if you mostly watch sports/movies other things and do a little to no gaming, you'd be better off with a home theater focused projector rather than a gaming projector for more accurate colors.
The only special mode is their FPS mode, it turns off all post processing to lower the latency to the below input lag.

4K/60: 16.67ms | 1080p/60: 16.67ms | 1080p/120: 8.33ms | 1080p/240: 4ms (last 2 from PC source only I believe)

Whats so funny, if you think thats not good, you dont know anything about projectors? That is one of the fastest input lags for a projector especially in 4k.

If you're gaming and you really think the difference between you winning or losing is a *16ms input lag* (less than 1 frame on 16fps), then I suspect it's more likely a user issue...
This (and high-DPI mice) always drive me insane. ALMOST nobody, if not nobody at all is going to actually measurably improve their performance by dropping from like 20ms input lag down to 1ms. Or going from an el cheapo 2k DPI mouse to a 20k DPI mouse (ergonomics and weight to match preference matters way more).

I hit 99.95th percentile globally in Starcraft 2 playing with a Logitech M-BT96A 400DPI mouse on a 60hz 1080p Samsung TV running off VGA with god-knows-what input lag. Skill, natural ability, practice, and using something you're physically comfortable with is 99.99% of everything.

But yes sure, you're a mutant that can totally tell the difference between 15 and 1ms input and have the fast twitch reflexes to be able to actually take advantage of that.

I have an epson 2150 1080p in a control lite room. Is the jump from the 2150 to the Benq really a big jump in visual quality and playing games? I am pretty sure it is but as the Benq has the faux 4k but can you really notice the difference n games? Just curious what you guys think - thanks
To start off if you never adjusted your frame interpolation and left your 2150 on normal or all defaults the same your input lag would be around 95-100ms, this TK700 at normal everything is 16ms which means you would see a big difference in gaming and the delay you probably got used to by now, body adjusts to the delay after awhile for a lot of people.

When it comes to picture I had a more powerful Epson 3100 which was more for professional home theater setups and it was amazing. When I compared it to even faux 4k I could tell the difference it wasn't huge but on the good projectors the picture was definitely sharper. Since I was comparing a very well tuned projector for picture my image was pretty equal outside of sharpness if not just slightly better on the 4k models. Your 2150 is a step down from a 3100 in a lot of respects so you should see a pretty subtle difference in picture quality when comparing between the two and moving up to even a faux 4k projector would be my guess as its been a long time since I seen a 2150 in person.

As for Faux 4k vs real 4k there is a difference, but you have to be sitting within usually 4 feet of the screen and have very good eyes to notice it (sharpshooter type), past that distance indistinguishable for everyone.

One thing I forgot to take into account but will mention now, the TK700 is bright 3200 lumens which means it would usually do better in normal viewing rooms not lite control, but looking further into both projectors total outputs they are both around 2800 lumens on their brightest settings so its pretty much a wash. I could not find the lumens at cinema mode which is what you would want for watching a movie in a light controlled room. I would still assume you would get a better image, I dont think it would be mind blowing difference but subtle and noticeable.
