I really wanted to love this laptop, and maybe I got a bad one but mine had spots where the screen would go out depending on the angle like the ribbon was damaged? also the space bar would randomly go apeshit with ghost presses making it useless. It's boxed and ready for return. Maybe I'll try another one because at this price it's a steal!
I see this deal isn't getting much love in a sea of certified Acer eBay refurb deals, but I'm in for one.
Unlike the Asus 11" I got last week for $130, this has a backlit keyboard, more powerful processor, better io, full hd screen, and upgradeable ram (1 slot) with a windows license.

Tempting. Add 8 GB stick of ram and this is pretty nice specs laptop for $250. But got to stop hoarding laptops.

a 512GB nvme is about $40 to $60
8 gb of ram is about $33
a better wifi 6 card ax210 is about $26, though a bit of a pain to install

So I estimate upgrading to decent computer is about $116. But then you are up at $330. Not sure it is worth it

I bought this a week and a half ago for $246 and I'm very happy with the features/performance for the price. I've got another 8gb of RAM on order to free up memory resources but ultimately I may need to grab another at this low price for my dad!

This is similar to an 8th gen i5 mobile chip. Hmm. Too bad it's Acer 😣

I have the same question. Just pulled the trigger on one for my mother and want to upgrade the RAM. Otherwise it seems like a great machine for her use.

I ended up buying an 8GB stick of Crucial CT8G4SFRA266 for mine. Looks like it should fit.
