One of my top picks for 4K 27-28" monitor upgrade to. It's very tempting at this deal, RTINGS has a good review and rated gaming at 8.2 out of 10.

Reviews are pretty good for gaming but contrast ratio is poor if you're into deep blacks and playing in dark rooms.

How does this compare to the XV275K P3 at Best Buy? Just this one has poorer HDR capabilities? I can get the XV275k P3 for about the same price because of BB gift certs.

By all means, if you want to spend the extra for BB Mini LED version. It's an overall better monitor than this.

i own the xv282k, which is pretty close to being exactly the same, but a different stand and model name; nitro vs predator. love the monitor, but the contrast is bad, really bad.

looks like standard ips contrast. can't really go much higher on ips. maybe that IPS Black tech, but might as well as spend a bit more for oled.

I got this last year and love it very much. The word "Predator" can be peeled off with tweezers and the stand looks totally normal from the front.

No complaints but don't get this expecting a good HDR experience. Essentially pointless. Otherwise solid.

At this price point I'd rather get the MAG27UPF from MSI. I've been super happy with mine since getting it in Feb. They had sale for $350 and Woot has refurbs for 270ish.

Main points are the 65w c port and better OSD ergonomics on MSI (very intuitive joystick underneath the screen instead of cheap buttons on the back)

I can say after owning a Nitro for 4 years I still have to fumble for a few minutes with the Acer menu system to get to what I want. With the MSI I can literally adjust brightness, turn on frame rate display, switch presets etc in 2 seconds blind folded. Super quick and responsive.

No speakers though on the MSI

Meh, I didn't like the local dimming and there was a lot of input lag with Xbox @ 120hz

I got IPS Black on my Dell and nobody gonna notice difference from regular IPS--unless you have another monitor next to it-- that isn't and look very hard. I also have NEC PA monitor that actually lets you decrease contrast down to whatever u want and it it's till u get around 200:1 that u really start noticing image washed out due to low contrast.
