If I have Capital One Venture X and my spouse has Capital one Quicksilver and I refer them for Venture X will I get the referral bonus or not? I am confused because they are already capital one customer but does not have venture x card.

I was really expecting my regular venture one credit card with the venture card logo but did you guys know this card is metal?
I honestly thought only the Venture X was metal so this was a pleasant surprise.

It is very nice looking, so I guess it was worth the wait to get my name etched into it.

I go on vacation 1 or 2 times a year. But i use corp coupon codes for car rentals that is cheaper then any credit card would offer. I do stay at motels during that time but i do not fly so very little travel.

Would this card even make sense for me?

Probably not. There are other cards that are better suited to your needs. The Capital One travel portal doesn't really provide any advantages besides points, and you're not going to rack up many of those if you're not traveling.

Got the Venture X and am so happy we did. The lounge access is awesome.
The points are awesome -- ended with about 85000 (75000 + 2x points per dollar on purchases) flight miles and you can apply them 1 cent per point to past travel related expenses for up to 90 days.
When our trip was done, we just found those items, 'covered' the cost of travel on those and the bill went down. Love it.
There are so many other great benefits -- still have out $300 travel credit for when one of their Capital One Travel deals is close to the best we can find elsewhere.

Spend enough money with Capital One and they will send you to exclusive events where they pay for everything and you get treated like royalty. I got the Capital One loge for the final four college bball, not to mention toured the facility and got to shoot hoops on the court before the game.. It was pretty sweet.

I just got the card and spent $4k+. I got the miles but if I redeem the miles it only worth $375 cash? Did I miss something?

If you redeem it for straight cash, it's only worth half. To get full value, you need to redeem on travel charges.

The best way to apply for venture X is to go through the pre-approval process...if it shows approval...then u can submit it immediately and it will go through. That's what I did. I applied almost a year later after the initial rejection (without the pre-approval process).
