This is correct at least with Chase... they don't do virtual card numbers. To answer a related question, they do have a way to spend on a new card before receiving it in the mail if you use a digital wallet:
Can I generate a secure credit card number for one-time use?
For security reasons, we can't give you a one-time or single-use virtual credit card account number. We also can't give you a credit card account number before you receive it in the mail.
Keep in mind: If your card has expired, or is lost or damaged, you need to get a replacement card. To order one, go to your account and choose "More..." . Then choose "Account services" and "Request replacement card."
virtual card numbers
For security reasons, we don't provide virtual credit card account numbers. If you were recently approved for a new credit card, most of our cards can be used with a digital wallet, before they arrive in the mail. For more info, go to www.chase.com/digital/spend-instantly [chase.com].
A bit confusing since you were comparing with Chase cards in the same paragraph...
The good news is that I offer a money back guarantee on all of my advice here. You just submit your request along with a receipt for the amount you paid to me for the content and we'll get you a refund by mail in 6-8 weeks. ;-)
Not a slickdeal... some advice givers offer a double money back guarantee!
Different experience for me. I bought an ~$800 plane ticket to MX on the American Air site. Later I paid the balance for that ticket with the bonus points I had gotten. Meanwhile I also got the C1 Spark Business card for which I got another $750 worth of points. I used those as a statement credit. I never had any problems with C1 through any of the transactions including a few calls to customer service.

One is a "travel card" and one is not. I doubt they'd let you "upgrade" but even if they did, you wouldn't get the bonus. Better to apply for this and if you get it (and the bonus) then close down the Quicksilver.
Not exactly sure what you're asking, but I don't think they'll allow you to transfer rewards between the Venture and Spark cards.
Right now I can transfer my spark cash to venture non x card. My venture card expires soon

I guess they wouldn't let me transfer points between cards earlier because I have the Spark Business card. I had looked into transferring some leftover points to the spark card because the Venture only gives partial credit for the points when used as a statement credit.
