Capital One is offering a 75,000 mile bonus after you spend $4,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening with the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card. There is $95 annual fee.

    Just beware that capital one does unethical practices. keep a lookout for their esb tracker, they disable for most.. if you call their customer care, they'll admit their system is broken but that's not true, it'll be enabled right after the period ends and they'll do everything to deny your spend even if you are just above the $4000 spend

    I have two C1 cards that I've gotten bonuses on and never had any issues with them. This sounds like conspiracy theory thinking to me.

    I would call them and ask why. Have you gotten C1 bonuses in the past? That's the only reason I have heard of for someone not qualifying for the bonus.

    Oh, I was referring to the next year's annual fee.

    From the time you open the card, spend your $4000 and get 75,000 points, you'll have 1 year before the next annual fee is assessed (If you were assessed a fee on Nov 1 2024, your next fee will be Nov 1 2025) to use the 75,000 points against travel purchases, be it lyft, uber, transit, car rentals, hotels, airbnb, airfare, etc.

    The SUB tracker never showed up for me when I signed up last summer, but I got paid the bonus right on time. IIRC, the points posted within a few days of hitting the $4000 spend (which I was tracking manually).

    One nice thing about C1 is that the points get posted after each purchase. You don't need to wait until the end of the billing period like some other cards.

    Venture x is the best if you travel/fly at least once a year. Fee per year is 395$ - you get back these annually with 300$ credit on hotels and 100$ annual anniversary. I am not talking about all the other benefits including unlimited 2% cash back, unlimited access to vip lounges... Check it out it is worth it especially if they have an offer like this one..

    How does the "credit on hotels" work? I travel a few times a year but am usually staying at Airbnb type places. Do they qualify? Would I need to use the Cap1 site to book?

    So I did their pre-approval thing and was rejected for their venture x card, I have 800 score, but apparently too many revolving credit? Should I close some of my unused cc or how can I get approved?
