Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

So basically yall applying to get the free travel miles? Other than that, I guess this is a meh card? I paid off all my CC 3 years ago and kept my Wells Fargo that gives me 2% cashback on everything.
WF keeps denying me for that card. They say I have too many credit cards...
Can you start using the card immediately after approval like Amex?
If I remember correctly, you need to wait until you get the physical card and they don't expedite shipping. (but you should ask in case I'm wrong or they've changed their policy)
There is no restriction on how you spend 4K ?? I have hospital bill to pay ? Can I pay bill and still get bonus ? Also I don't travel much so how much is cash value if I don't use for travel ??thnx

Yes you can pay your hospital bill and still get the bonus.
I believe the cash value is $650 or maybe 550. Not sure about this though.

You can spend your $4000 however you want. I would assume, though, that cash advances don't apply. Medical bills arent cash advances, of course.
75,000 points, if redeemed against travel purchases (doesn't matter what the travel is, could be a hotel, could be Lyft/Uber, could be Amtrak, airfare, just as long as it is categorized as travel) is worth $750. If you take it just as cash it'll be worth half of that.
Seeing as how you have one year before you pay for an annual fee, I assume you can rack up $750 of basic travel stuff to redeem the points against - Lyft, Uber, metro cards, buses, rental cars, hotels, airfare, cruises, experiences booked through travel portals, etc. And you can go back as far as you want to cover the purchase. Earn the points in Nov, have bookings in Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan...doesn't matter. Just redeem the points against the purchases.
I just singed up and got approved. I am existing capital one member and can see the new credit card in my account. How many days does it take approx for me to get the credit card in mail ?

I have savor card and I applied for venture x. They generated virtual card for me on same day. My friend also applied but he could not get virtual cards. He had to wait for physical which took 3 business days. It comes through FedEx

Mines was super quick, I think it was fedex over within a week? You however can use the virtual number via the capital one app right away.
I've read (either in this thread or elsewhere) that you can get the regular Venture SUB even if you already have received the Venture X SUB. I got my Venture X about a year ago. I'd like to sign up for the Venture, but the PreApproval tool only offers me secured cards.
Anyone have recent success doing this?
If so, did you get approved for the Venture even if the PreApproval tool did not offer the Venture card?f
Anyone DM you about this? I didnt see any replies to your question. I'm also curious if I can get both. Got my Venture X Card like 6mo ago. Time to get another SUB lol

Maybe you can get it with a referral? I have both the Venture and the Spark business cards from C1. They both gave me the same bonus with the same spend but the Venture is a travel card so might have different benefits. The Spark allows redemption of bonus points as a statement credit for full value while the Venture only gives full value for travel related expenses. So they're slightly different but both give bonuses.
It has to do with the farming of credit card offers.
Yeah, if your credit is bad enough that you're worried about inquiries making a meaningful difference, then you have no business in the credit card churning business.
Churning is for high income earners with excellent credit. I can't stress enough: if your credit score is something you even have to think about, then you really shouldn't be churning.
