Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

I just got my 75k points after a couple of months spending. I do agree with the limited transfers to other travel flight partners and hotels. I wish they have more options. So disappointed. 😞
Didn't you know the 15 travel partners for point transfer prior to the application?
Can anyone else let me know if the miles can be used for things other than travel, and if so what value? Or any other clever / creative ways to cash out the miles?
This is my primary card. Never had an issue redeeming miles either through their portal or applying them retroactively to a flight purchased directly with an airline or travel agency (believe it will find airline charges automatically within 90 days of purchase). You can also just apply the miles towards your statement balance if you don't travel much.
Best travel perk is the free Global Entry/TSA precheck that saves quite a bit of time depending on the airports you frequent.
The Capitol One lounges are only $65 without a card FWIW, and the only one is currently in Terminal D at DFW. Just went last week, was pretty nice. On par with AA's Admirals Club and the like, will be a much better travel perk whenever they finally get around to putting them in more airports.
Aside from that Capitol One's Eno virtual card service is pretty nice and I wish everybody offered something similar.
How many miles would be a 2 way ticket to USA or Europe ?
Hello,
I was preapproved for some Capital One card with $95 yearly fee and the 75k points. Question: Would property tax to county count as the 4k spend? Does anyone know or tried that?
With rising interest rates, do we typically see better and better CC rewards? I'm going to Europe in a couple of years and I'd like to start racking up points/miles. Will probably get the new card at the beginning of the year and I'm leaning towards Venture....maybe not Venture X we'll see.
Wtf why do i keep on getting denied for credit cards? I applied for the Citi premier a few months back denied. Applied for this, denied. My Credit score is 809 as of today and I have good income.
Last time I opened a credit card was 5-6 months ago.

I did notice that my revolving credit limit is almost as high as my income. Should I start closing some accounts? lol
Same here. Never before in my life have I been rejected for any kind of credit. FICO over 800. Never missed a payment. All accounts in good standing. Waste of time and now I have that inquiry sitting on my credit report which is not something most people would want. They can go pound sand.
It's a crap bank. Same here, probably this is the first card that i got rejected. Good that I never banked with them.. lol

A lot of banks are starting to follow Chase with their 5 cards every 24 months rule. Maybe you got rejected under this rule?

Also, bigger earning power. For example, no fee 1x pt vs $95 for 2X . The fee balances out fast. And this card gives you $100 to global so done. *Always do global, it includes TSA!
That's why when picking card, is good to see if you consume the high yield categories. Or when card fees are $500 but gives you global, dinning credits, etc. Then fee is like $100-200 (depends card) .. definitely 2x all or similar simplifies it. It's a whole card game and need a flow chart 📈 😂
