Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

You comment is a HUGE misguidance! When applying for a loan and a card... within X days.. an inquiry is cou Ted as a single inquiry. Cap 1 is not stupid to spoil its customer's FICO.

You are completely incorrect as it pertains to my comment. Capital 1 pulls ALL three bureaus. Those pulls count as THREE separate pulls, one for each bureau. If you are applying for a mortgage/auto loan and are shopping around for a few days, those inquires will not count as multiple hard pulls on EACH credit report, but as a single pull for EACH credit report.
Why would one not go for this card and not Venture X card for $399 where they give $300 statement credit for travel purchase made through cap one travel; and also get access to 1300+ lounge access? I am thinking to get Ven X so want to make sure I am not missing on something?
I was approved for this card even though I already have a Venture One. I was shocked by the credit line they gave me. It will be a sad day when I cancel the card to avoid next year annual fee.
Just the individual that paid, applied, and received it, not per car, or family.
Actually kids 12 and under traveling with a parent that has TSA precheck can go through TSA precheck as well. We travel all the time with our kids and there have been no issues.

Yes, possible on the TSA Precheck, but on the Global Entry Program, strictly the approved paying applicant only.

You don't wait for renewal to act. You call them two months before the annual fee and tell them you want to close the account. They'll send you to the grovel department (customer retention dept) and give you a bunch of miles to keep your account open. Once you get those miles posted THEN you close/downgrade it.

I got Venture x and has a recent international trip. Used the Premium Plaza lounges in many places. Amazing experience and food. PM me if you have any questions

Customers like this spoil good deals for others . Like Costco changed its return policy, CSP increases it price. Don't misuse benefits to ruin it for others

No Nexus, only Global Entry and TSA Pre-checked. Chase Sapphire Reserve has Nexus.
