Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

That's not what other commenters in this thread have said. I looked through all of the comments before applying. Looks like it's a ymmv for whether they approve the second card.
I currently have both Venture X and Venture... opened ~4 months apart.
I tried opening the Venture about 1 year and 2 months after my Venture X but was denied. I just got an email with the reasoning being that I have too many credit cards open.
Right now, I have 5 Chase, 1 Capital One, 1 Discover, and 1 Citi.
You can open one, and another at the same time in order to get the sign up bonus numerous times. Currently have 2 open at the same time - Capital One Venture cards.

It's not 3 creditor inquiries. It's the same creditor hitting Experian, Equifax, and Transunion.
Correct... which IS a bit annoying in that since different cards usually pull different bureaus you can spread your inquires out a bit... potentially opening like a dozen cards while not have more than 4-5 pulls on any given report.... and Cap One pulling all 3 means you take the +1 on all 3... but it's nowhere near as bad as "3 hard pulls on one report" would be.
Just got approved and have a big bill due in a week. Tried to get the card number and exp date but no dice. Can anyone comment on shipping time from approval date to card delivery? Thanks.

Download capital one app. Sign in and click on 'get your virtual card'. You have a unique 16 digit number along with all details. Just use it for online purchases. That's what I did to purchase 8k worth of air tickets immediately after approval.
If you are planning to use in store, you have to wait 7 working days before your card will arrive
I'll be cancelling mine after the first year since they removed restaurants from the priority pass - Also they keep missing the new capital one lounge opening dates. Feels like they baited customers with big perks and will slowly take them away…

Yes- Same here- I canceled it right after one year.
Thanks so much for that info. Downloaded app to my iPad but it says "This account is currently restricted". It's only been 2 dys since approval so maybe too soon. I'll try again in a couple of dys.

Is this really the case? 3 inquiries?

Otherwise go to BoFA, Chase, Citi instead of these scammers.
