Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

Thank you! What's an easy way to hit the 4k spending limit?
I use it as my daily spending, such as bills, groceries, restaurants, gas etc.. so instead of using my debit, I use this and make a payment every week to keep up with balances and not get hit with that 22%
This or venture x is the big decision? Leaning towards venture x due to $300' travel credit, $100 annual credit and points multipler. Any suggestions from the folks who are better at math or own this card ?

If you have the credit to get approved, then get the Venture X. It's basically a free card after credits with better multipliers than the standard version. Make sure you use the preapproval tool first to get an idea if you'll be approved.

This is the best travel card for anyone who travels at least once a year. The card pays for itself with $300 travel credit through portal and 10k annual anniversary points.
You also get Priority Pass for yourself and authorized user.
You can add authorized user for fee!

I can tell you that I booked my entire Switzerland trip with this card. Got to the $4k very fast and got those bonus miles. On top of that I took advantage of the global entry $100 credit (waiting for approval for the appointment) I got TWO priority passes for me and my wife as a card holder. I already got my $300 credit, I used my 100,000 miles ($1005) and booked ANOTHER trip for Mexico in December and the total for those 3 tickets were $1311...I only paid $311 because I used my miles as cash. Boom!
