Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

(note the page lists the reward in dollars, but those are both UR earning cards, so the actual reward is 75,000 UR points each- which is of course $750 taken as cash, but potentially much more used for travel)

Yeah found those and I didn't realize the difference in listing $ vs points. Thanks for the reply, its appreciated.
What are the chances of approval with about low 700s scores?
P1 few cap 1 one card biz and personal, long credit history.
P2 1 cap one card, less than 1 year of credit history.
What I don't like about this deal is that you have to spend $4K within 3 months from account opening. I have been waiting for the physical card for almost two weeks now and the virtual card option is not working. The 3 months time frame should start upon physical card reception and not from account opening!
No sign of life from chase on working day 5. Called biz reconsideration line (no music/wait) and was asked a couple more questions, and told outcome will now be 1-2 days. Pretty slow experience so far - I assume they are busy with this promo.
That's normal with the pre-qualify tool. The new direct product page now has a link to prequalify. YMMV, some people can't see the link. May be due to ad blockers or VPN settings. May also vary by browser. It showed up for me in Firefox after I turned off my VPN.
ty!! just got approved for the VX
what do people use the virtual credit card for? didnt really understand the purpose of having multiple virtual cc number. the rep was telling me i can generate multiple one for different websites.
Your have to use their travel site to book anything, meaning prices probably much higher and they can control it, based on demands. IMO.
Nonsense- if you want real value on flex points like these you ignore there even IS a travel site and instead transfer the points to an airline (there's a few rare exceptions with Chase, and one specific one with Citi, where the portal can be useful, but for Cap One and Amex not so much)

The virtual cc number is good to use for sites with subscriptions or sites that you think are kinda sketchy.
So say you want to sign up for a site that will give you a free subscription for a year and then start charging you after 1 year, but needs a credit card. Use your virtual cc and set the expiration date for the card to like 11-months so you don't get charged after that.
Another example would be if you buy something from a site you're not sure if it might get hacked or something, use a virtual cc, and set the expiration date to the card like a week or a month from the purchase. You might be able to set the limit of how much can be charged to the card too, so after your purchase, set that limit, and nothing more can be charged to it.

I have the VX card, so I've used the Capital One Travel site to book a vacation before. Their Travel site is using Hopper for pricing. I usually also look at Google Flights to compare prices. For the most part, prices are higher max $10 per ticket on Capital One Travel, usually less of a difference. However, you can call in and have your ticket price matched to another site's price within 10 days of purchase. It's actually really painless to price match.

6k spend for 75k points for BOTH the unlimited and cash cards
8k spend for 100k points for the preferred
6k spend for 75k points for BOTH the unlimited and cash cards
I see 60k for sapphire preferred (personal) and 100k fir ink business preferred at 8k.
I am not seeing another 75k or offer from chase? Maybe its gone but I am hoping not.
** I think you meant to type $750 not 75k in Ultimate rewards points.
THanks!

it's not gone, you're just looking at the wrong cards. I said both ink unlimited and ink cash.

The only down side is that for Priority Pass, it is only good for the lounges. Restaurants are excluded from the perk for Cap Venture X.
