Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

They are just shifting a 15k bonus by reducing the 25k referral bonus to $10k. It's still a win-win for both parties in any case. It would be nice to get extra 10k in points if someone gets 90k.
I love this card! Well worth the $95 renewal fee. The sign up bonus is awesome and and you can get another 50K miles if you refer a few friends.
Also the 5 X points booking travel is great since they price match. And make. Ire to take advantage of the global entry if TSA $100 credit. This card rocks!!!
According to the T&C, the SUB (sign-up-bonus) is only available for people who hadn't received a SUB for this card within the past 48 months (4-years).
With the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck®, can the entire family get through or just the card holder
Global Entry (as far as entering the US from another country) = NO
TSA PreCheck = Yes, as long as on the same reservation. Happened x times, even though the person traveling with me was not even a US resident or citizen.
Will this card be great for Family of 5? We usually travel twice a year with domestic airline and hotel. Also twice driving with hotel. Will this give benefit with booking hotels long term?
Note that CapitalOne has no US domestic airline partner, not a single one.
TSA PreCheck = Yes, as long as on the same reservation. Happened x times, even though the person traveling with me was not even a US resident or citizen.
Not so in my experience. My guest, who was over 60, here on a visitor's visa, was given PreCheck when traveling with me. This happened repeatedly over a few years, last time the first few months of the pandemic

It happens sometimes but it is not guaranteed. We've traveled often when one person has TSA Pre. In the past we used to sometimes get TSA Pre for the companion also but that hasn't happened recently.
Does CapitalOne still pull credit from all three agencies, when you apply for this card?
They pulled from 2 for me when I applied for venture X. It's not so bad. My score went down 2 points for like 3 months. I don't get why people make such a big fuss. They can pull from all 3 for all I care. Venture X is way too good. 90k points and 400-500 in credits/miles every year offset the 395 annual fee so easily compared to Amex and chase big boy cards. I also fly to Europe a lot and the klm/Air France partner is amazing. Business class seats for 55k miles round trip.
Its more economical to own the venture X over the venture tbh.
Besides Chase Ink, are there any other cards with 0 introductory APR AND $600 - $900 bonus after meeting a spending requirement?
Freedom unlimited has 15 months 0 apr with a 100% cash back first year welcome offer. So if you spend $40,000 in the first year with just the 1.5% cash back and don't use any of the bonus categories you will earn $600 in cash back and another $600 in matches cash back. Its can be done in less than $40000 since you also get 3% cash back on dining and 5% cash back on travel through chase.
