The points are awesome -- ended with about 85000 (75000 + 2x points per dollar on purchases) flight miles and you can apply them 1 cent per point to past travel related expenses for up to 90 days.
When our trip was done, we just found those items, 'covered' the cost of travel on those and the bill went down. Love it.
There are so many other great benefits -- still have out $300 travel credit for when one of their Capital One Travel deals is close to the best we can find elsewhere.

Isn't it worth getting Venture X which has 75k point too. The fee is 395 but then it has 300 travel credit so if one can use that then it is better as fee remains same. In addition Venture x gives
- Tsaprecheck or global entry fee waiver worth 100.
- Priority pass

You can use your miles to redeem for recent eligible travel purchases made in the last 90 days on your Venture or Spark card at a fixed rate of 1 cent each. There's no minimum redemption amount. You can redeem for purchases made with airlines, hotels, rail lines, car rental agencies, limousine services, bus lines, cruise lines, taxi cabs, travel agents and timeshares.

Will the 100K offer be back?

Does that purchase has to be made through their portal in order to redeem?

Does anyone know if I get approved and the 100k offers comes in, do they honor it? How far back?

I am on the big spending zone on an deductible in 1 week span (like 6k). Thinking of signing up for the card (got good credit, ran the preapproval without credit pull on this venture x card and got it through).

One question, is the $300 credit, is it right after you signup the card or do you need to pay $395 for one year and then they provide it as annual benefit on next year? I anyway may have a travel plan this year (4k on tickets atleast), but if it is not first year, then may just go with the regular Venture ($95/year).

American Airlines Red Aviator MasterCard. Can get first year fee waived, and often a miles bonus if you have a promo code. I got 65,000 miles for spending $1 on the card and used the miles for approximately $750 worth of flights. Can't beat that.

Amex Hilton Honors card isn't bad either. No AF, can get 100,000 points for $1,000 spend. If you find good redemptions you can get about $600-700 from it

This is my primary card. Never had an issue redeeming miles either through their portal or applying them retroactively to a flight purchased directly with an airline or travel agency (believe it will find airline charges automatically within 90 days of purchase). You can also just apply the miles towards your statement balance if you don't travel much.

Best travel perk is the free Global Entry/TSA precheck that saves quite a bit of time depending on the airports you frequent.

The Capitol One lounges are only $65 without a card FWIW, and the only one is currently in Terminal D at DFW. Just went last week, was pretty nice. On par with AA's Admirals Club and the like, will be a much better travel perk whenever they finally get around to putting them in more airports.

Aside from that Capitol One's Eno virtual card service is pretty nice and I wish everybody offered something similar.
