Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

Thank you. The option to add a Virtual card wasn't available for me immediately. Just checked, it's available now. Card arriving today.
Where do you see the $300 Travel credit ? Only thing I see if a tracker for the 75K bonus miles.
Edit: I found the "My travel credit & offers" section after clicking on "Book a travel". It says $0.00 available. Does it come after activating the physical/virtual card ?
Oh I see. Maybe it will appear after you activate. For me I was able to create the virual card and add it to google wallet and paypal inmediately and the $300 apeared as soon as I went to try to book a trip
you can use it inmediately. You can get a virtual card on the app and start using it and you should have access to capital one travel now. My $300 travel credit appeared about an hour after applying
What is the $300 travel credit you are referring to? I think we only get 75k points after 4k spend and upto $100 TSA credit. Even I see only tracker for 75k points

Correct. Arrived after activating the physical card. About 2 hours later. I see the $300 travel credit now in the portal.

It's one of the Venture X benefits. Not available for regular Venture card.

Is there any alternative to use the $300 credit if you cant book tickets or hotels? I dont see flight options for multi city... or the best eco flights...
For Venture card it's Primary only. Venture X has primary and 2 guests. Also unlimited access for Venture X. And also the authorized user can get his own PP and get unlimited access too
Can authorize users apply for their own card? Does adding someone as authorize user have any disadvantages?

I don't think so. Dealing with the same problem, not many/good flight options. May have to save and use this for a car rental.
It looks like the $300 was a statement credit, only recently changed to travel credit.

I have almost perfect score. Had a 8K medical bill (reimbursable) coming up. So I thought of apply a new card. They rejected me saying too many open card.
with 820 credit score my application got declined.. have bunch of other premium cards. not sure why it got declined
Edit: received letter from them..
The reason(s) for our decision are:
· Based on your credit report from one or more of the agencies on the back of this letter, there are too many active credit cards based on your loan history
I really don't know what loan history they are referring to.. I don't have any loans.. but I have quite a few number of cards
I just got the exact same; very similar score, when I did pre-approval it didn't list this card did others. I guess this is one of their better cards so are more stringent. It declined me there are too many revolving accounts. I didnt need the card, sucks I got a hit on my inquiries though.
