Pro tip with these is to do the opposite: after getting them in, turn them counterclockwise. I went from having a good amount of pain after ~40 minutes to being able to wear them for about 2 hours without any issues.

Just got them today. No ear wax as far as I can see. Came with two other sets of tips. Top tips on box were used but clean and bottom set is new since the paper tabs were still pointy.
