actually it's perfectly fine. totally different classes of pain relievers, you can take both together. This is particular good for post dental pain and reducing high fevers.

Even pediatricians will at times have parents alternate doses of children's advil and tylenol for the same reason.

As nice as this is, getting a bulk bottle of generic tylenol and generic advil is better -- you can control exactly how much you need to take that way. And toss in a generic pepsid ac to help soothe the ibuprofen's gnarly effects on one's digestive tract.
