Meh the M32U had previously been on sale for $599. I think I would hold out for that deal again instead of the M28U

Might have to jump on this since the Acer XV282K jumped back up on price.

This is tempting. I very recently bought the MSI Optix MAG281URF, before finding out there are screen flickering issues when using HDMI 2.1. It's still in the box, and I'm wondering if I should even try it, or if I should try returning it and buy this instead??

that's subjective. everything will look more crisp, but unless you have a high end gpu, your gaming performance will suffer. downscaling a 4k to a 2k does not look as good as running a 2k native.

I have the Samsung g70a which is also 4k 144hz. I got it cuz it was on a good sale and cuz its fully compatible with for ps5. Im glad that its future proof with hdmi 2.1/DP 1.4. But for pc, 1440p at 27" is still the sweet spot for gaming.

Anyone used this on M1 Macs? Seeing mixed signals regarding 120hz support.

For a 16in M1 pro and a Mini M1.

edit: seems like "yes", based on https://tonsky.me/blog/monitors-mac/

For 27in upgrading to 4k is not worth it. I had 27in 1440p and 4k and the 4k only looks a little crisper. It's not a world different like if you are upgrading from 27in 1080p to 1440p

Can confirm, I have this as my primary monitor on my Mac Mini M1, hooked up via USB C, 4k@144hz.

649 MSRP Price is inflated. I bought this monitor about a month after it came out last year, paid full price 599. So with this deal your only paying about 50 less than this thing normally goes for. I'm not saying this is a bad deal at all, it's just not as steep of a discount as they claim it is.

Exactly. And I think we are going to see some discounts actually coming as we get closer to fall. These prices will drop
