It is around 12% to 15% (At max) less powerful than the Iris Xe iGPU with 96 EU present in Core i7 models like in i7-1165G7. Apart from that, the performance is very similar. Unlike Ryzen models where going from Ryzen 3 to Ryzen 5 to Ryzen 7, indicates both increase in CPU core counts and the iGPU performance, for Intel, from i5 to i7 (at least till 11th Gen), it's just the iGPU as both are having same 4 Cores.

At this point, I doubt anybody knows what ARC, Xe or Iris stand for. Most of the times naming and branding doesn't make much of a difference but Intel's failure to compete against AMD and Nvidia in both the integrated and dedicated graphics market will be a serious blow to Intel's overwhelming dominance in the mobile laptop market. Many more people now look first at GPU specs before buying a laptop than they used to.and there's just nothing to look for unless they see Nvidia or Radeon advertised. There is just not an intuitive way to tell whether an Intel based laptop comes with an iGPU or a GPU if it's not branded next to Nvidia's RTX or GTX.

Real nice if you don't care about the i-GPU being the Xe 80 EU.

The brand "Intel" doesn't stand for anything in particular when people try to buy a laptop and look at GPU specs. Nobody knows the difference between Iris, Xe, Arc... Now Intel have come up with EVO; which is a repeat of the Centrino branding debacle and only adds to the confusion. They probably are relying on the color blue and the Intel brand which is what's keeping them at the top of the laptop market.

Intel is relying heavily on Nvidia to stay current at the higher end of the laptop market but they really need to watch out in the lower end of the market: AMD is trying very hard to take the fight to Intel in the ultra-portable and low-cost laptop fronts, like they have done in the past with the Server, Desktop, and high-end laptop markets.

This is one of the nicer budget friendly computers I've seen of late. Yes it's got integrated graphics so not the best choice for gamers. But if you are looking for something to handle office work even some more heavy duty applications this laptop is on par with $12-1400 dell office laptops.

Valid point but I've gone over to the thunderbolt egpu side. Better cooling/thermals, more powerful, more upgradeable, and better battery life when you're not doing gpu intensive tasks.

AMD is destroying Intel in the iGPU space currently and into the foreseeable future. As far as Integrated graphics performance goes.

Having said that. This MSI laptop looks nice 👀

AMD at one point cheated and started putting Radeon stickers on their Igpu laptops.
