These are service and repair manuals. Not the operator manual. Or the owners manual as you called it. The owners manual is accessible through the in car touch screen or via your Tesla account, which is required to order a vehicle. These are at no cost.

Yes, slickdeals defaults to spamming you with paid ad emails, this is probably what they're referring to, but your friend should not have needed to sign up for a SlickDeals account to click through a deal link.
Ditto. Click their unsubscribe button at the bottom of your email.

Cant get deal to load. Goes to blank page after logging in

Owned a model s for 5 years now with 100k miles. Car is rock solid except for that MCU chip issue they had. I did upgrade the computer system for 2k and it was like a new car!

Iv owned 2 high end Mercedes which were great cars but Tesla really beats them both.

Is the interior good quality material? No! Very lacking for 100k car. Does not feel well built like a mercedes bmw. Still not bad but not the greatest.

Is the car awesome? YES! 5 years and I still love it. Once you go autopilot you never go back.

I really dont think tesla ever plans on increasing build quality, but everyone I know who has bought one has always had it be their favorite car.

O and lets not forget the lack of gas! Really making it worth it these days with gas over $6 a gallon in Los angeles. I was super lucky when I bought it having lifetime free supercharging.

100,000 miles divided by my average car of 20mpg = 5,000 gallons saved!

This really confuses friends I talk to that expect a Tesla to compete with germans. A Tesla is a 3rd leg on the "Economy vs Luxury" spectrum, adding "Technology".

Are Teslas easy to service an independent shops now? Last I heard, you have to take it to the dealer for anything if it breaks

Well anyone could work on them, as in take apart, but access to parts is only through authorized channels, and besides some consumables there aren't many aftermarket parts. This is why totaled cars have high values, because it's basically the only way one can get OE parts.

Good to know. One of the main reasons stopping me from buying one. Right to repair is important and if I can't buy parts and service the car on my own or through an independent, that's a deal breaker. I never take my car to the dealer for service because it's usually very costly.

Sent this deal to a friend and he responded shortly after, "please don't send me any more 'slickdeals'. I signed up and am getting a bunch of spam."

Anyone else have a similar experience?
I don't remember since I "filter emails like these" in my inbox.

Thanks for your input. I asked for more info, and here's what I got: "So to be clear all I did was click the link in messenger, then close out the page. No signing up for anything. Minutes later email from them saying welcome to slick deals. So that's it but just annoyed me 😕."

Really weird that he said he started getting stuff just by using the link.

What EVs would you suggest as an alternative?
