These are service and repair manuals. Not the operator manual. Or the owners manual as you called it. The owners manual is accessible through the in car touch screen or via your Tesla account, which is required to order a vehicle. These are at no cost.

What's the value in ever having one of these? AFAIK nobody has ever successfully gotten a Tesla repaired, or been able to get Tesla replacement parts - without involving the dealers.

This is good timing. We got the service center to sell us some parts to fix some underside damage. The drawings and instructions seem to be well done.

I don't see an option to buy service manuals for my old S. I already have access to all the manuals online, so does that mean the old model years came with it automatically?

By end of this end they will make over 1.5 million vehicles worldwide and it will be a S curve with there on. That is why I am a big Tesla Bull and invest heavy on them of over 100 plus shares.
100 Shares... LOL. Tesla down over 46% from it's peak about 6 months ago. And article expect the stock to go to about $400 in the next few months.

I agree that Tesla right now makes the best EV but they are not perfect. But their stock price has taken a BIG hit.

I invested in stuff that makes money, not lose money.

If that works out for you that's great. Similarly, if you pay 20% over price for a house today and you hold it for the next 30 years you'll probably recoup your money but that doesn't mean the house was a good value at the time. Most people do not hold cars for 8-10 years and it's uncertain whether Tesla's will even hold up for that long without the need for costly maintenance. So if that's what it takes to consider it a good deal than I stand by my original position.

You just assumed there was no devaluing of currency, and for many salient reasons including policy reasons that is not the case. Cash is at least worth 10% less than the year before, and next year isn't looking great either. Buying a house now was for many a hedge against out of control rent and other inflation.

Elon Musk and Tesla have done something great. that being said BEV are NOT a solution for everyone and it is entirely premature to force a defacto change in behavior by not issuing permits and other regulations for drilling, and transporting more gas in the USA and Canada.

High gas prices are encouraging burning of coal and other items, which many have suggested are actually making more greenhouse gases. Not having enough gas is not ok for building out the grid, and for helping people with power. There are other reasons why the production of gas is necessary including for fertilizer.

One day we should pivot, but that day is at least 20 years away if we want to reduce greenhouse gases and prepare for a real offramp by investing in our energy grid and alternative cleaner energies for emerging and so-called emerging economies.

Finally the big elephant in the room in terms of gas burning is the shipping industry. Cars are fairly clean, the ships however are not, and could be much cleaner. It has been said that just 30 of the biggest cargo ships produce more CO2 than every car on earth.

uh... what?

There's lots of things you can repair without speaking to Tesla at all.

Yeah, I mean with the recent pullback the stock is only up a mere 921% in the last 5 years...and over 17,000% since IPO in 2010.

Terrible returns.

All service manuals AFAIK cost money.
That's a detailed service manual, not a user manual that comes for free.

I had made over 50k on it if sell from my early day shares from TSLA. Come back in 10 years and let me know who makes more in our investment. What kind of investment are you into? Are day trading?

Here is a pic of just my early day investment in RH. From Friday TSLA closed at $665.41 even in a very very bad Tesla day and share drop more than 8.4% I can sell and still make near $50,000. That is 587% gain!

There's always inflation and economic forces that shift the value of currency. When I say "recoup", I'm assuming these economic forces are baked into that "recoup" calculation.

I mostly agree with everything else you said.
