I prefer Lumberjack like a lot of other people, but how are these? I don't mind cheaper pellets for long smokes. For that I normally use the championship blend B and B from Academy for $20 for 40 lb so this beats that price.

They're pretty good. I get much better smoke and flavor results with LJ and Bear Mountain.

I'm very glad I didn't listen to the armchair experts of the internet when it comes to pellet grills. It's literally the most perfect grill for me.. I've either seen in person in use or have personally owned all of the above, including the modern methods of cooking.

This one is by far the cleanest and insanely easy to buy the "fuel" aka electricity to start it and the pellets to burn it.. I usually buy it from Amazon. Very easy to store, light weight, yada yada. The only thing I wish they'd come up with is a better way to clean the ashes out of the cup-like thing. Even with that, its far cleaner than any alternative outside of propane which I hope I never have to resort to propane again.

As far as this brand, it's great! Nothing but compliments and this blend is a great all-around blend. They have suggested things to cook it with but it can be used for everything. Their apple is good too if you mix the two together.. another thing I love about pellet grills, the ability to very easily mix flavors.

And btw I usually pay $20 for this so this is a very nice deal.

Good deal. I get these at Walmart and their regular price is $15. I've never had any problems with these pellets, but I just got my smoker a few months ago and haven't tried any others.

FYI Walmart recently started carrying Pit Boss "Fruit Blend" and "Classic Blend" in 40-lb. bags at that same $15 price point.

Great price, I cook on these all the time with excellent results. You'd be hard pressed to find a cheaper or better value for grill pellets. In for 2, thanks OP.

These caused my Traeger to vary wildly in temp, even exploding at one point. I opened the lid and a fireball flew up in my face. I've used Traeger brand ever since with no issues.

Pretty much exclusively use these in my Traeger these days since even at MSRP they are a solid value. Will definitely grab a few more bags to keep on ice though. Thanks OP.

Edit: For those with access to a Menards, it looks like they have the same price plus you get the 11% rebate. Not sure if Lowes price matches the 11% like Home Depot does if you don't feel like messing with the rebate.

I've been using these pellets for the last year and have had good results. Obviously if they get damp they're no good. I've been using food grade buckets with the food seal lids and they store great!

bought one to try, but why are these so cheap compared to the other pellets from the same brand?
