Depends on the color since different colors use different materials. These that are on sale aren't very elastic. More of a typical denim. The waist is a bit elastic.

I saw those and debated getting them at that price, but the 512's are all I wear. And I've been wanting to get some black ones.

These are not that stretchy. Hollister chinos are like 72% cotton and you can do splits in those.

The TikTok generation have decided they want to mimic the late 90s to early 2000s trend of loose and baggy fit jeans. Although maybe ilater in the year the slim to skinny fit jeans will become trendy again
