The usual price is 149. Don't buy it because you think it's a $300 soundbar.
If you don't own a sound bar buy one. The tv sound will go from crap to wow. That's all
reviews don't look amazing...

I'm a bit late to the party here. This is interesting. Rare to see a 3.1 channel with HDMI-ARC for $100. Did a bit of research and found this model used to sell on Amazon's UK site. Price history shows an average sale price of $250 GBP, which is just over $300 USD, but there was a 7 month period last year where it sold for $170 GBP, which is just over $200 USD. Based on that info, this is a good deal. Reviews are mixed (4.1 out of 5) on Amazon UK site. Some failed units and some complaints about lack of bass control, although there are 3 presets; Movie (High Bass), Music (Medium Bass), and News (Low Bass). Not much to lose, other than some time, to buy and try with a free 30 day return (in store or by mail).

I'm leaning towards the Vizio V51 H6 5.1 channel at Costco for $170, since it has independent treble and bass volume control.

Thank you for doing research for us. I am in market for one budget soundbar. Do you think spending an extra $70 is worth it? Over this one?

Samsung is 2.1 channel. It cannot be compared with 3.1 channel. One can try it for 30 days. Walmart return is easy if the soundbar does not meet one's expectations.

Does Walmart accept opened products as return? Any restocking charges?

I do. Rtings [rtings.com] lists the Vizio V Series V51-H6 as the best budget soundbar and of course the 5.1 channel model provides two satellite speakers for surround sound.

I have Phillips Sound Bar 3.1 TAPB603 which I bought it for 200$ deal during last Thanksgiving sale. Sound is incredibly superb and clear.
Good to know. What does that have to do with this?

If you have the room, I highly recommend grabbing an older $30.00 receiver and a $30.00 center channel speaker off Craigslist, Offerup or your local Thrift store. I just set up an old Yamaha receiver and Jamo center with an optical cable and it sounds amazing compared to the two soundbar/sub combos I just returned.

When it is on there is no visible indication it is on (unless the unit is a tribute to Douglas Adams and a black light is lighting up black on the black surface).

Taken from a review on some website that sells/sold this model. However I'd pass just based on that lack of indicator light.
There is a light under the mesh.

No restocking fee. Just take it to the store after placing return online.

If someone has bought and set this up, I really want to know how surround sound performs on this unit. I am just blown away after experiencing Dolby Atmos on my mobile phone with a headphone. I know this is not apples to apples comparison but once you experience the spatial audio you cannot just unhear it.
From the specs, it does not look like this model supports Atmos but supports Dolby Digital which are so very different. Really appreciate if you can share your firsthand experience

How does this compare to the Philips HTL1520B ? I have an outdoor tv and bought the cheapest sound bar I could find, the HTL1520B, but it is not loud enough to hear in the hot tub. Total first world problem...
