Because not all batteries are created equal. I used to buy the cheap batteries and they hardly last. Especially in my car's keyless entry fob. I would get a low battery warning within a month or two vs these lasts several years.
As for buying these on Amazon, just know what to looks for. There are fakes out there.
Edit: why are all these n00bs coming out of the woodwork and complaining?
I also won't buy USB drives or SD cards from Amazon.
Very good chance that you will get fake stuff on Amazon. Even when it is "sold by Amazon", they mix stock with third party sellers on batteries. I have learned the hard way. I will never buy ANY kind of batteries on Amazon again. When it comes to putting these in keyfob, it's not worth the hassle to be stuck because it suddenly dies when you are in the middle of nowhere.
Completely agree. If you can get this deal, it is a fantastic deal. I would consider if I didn't get a big Duracell pack at Costco. OP, what's the expiration on these?

Good place for a YMMV, IMHO. No longer sold at my closest Target less than 2 miles away, 6 in stock at one Target within 50 miles - 18 miles away. Probably an inventory error... no thanks!
You can get the same pack at Amazon for the same price pretty regularly

There are a multitude of Panasonic or Sony 20-packs where the batteries are 40 cents apiece on Amazon.

My kitchen scale uses these 2032 batteries. I used to buy 20+ packs of supposed reputable brands on Amazon. I noticed a significant difference in longevity when I recently switched to only buying batteries from target, Walmart, Home Depot, big box stores cvs etc. This is on the same, 10 year old kitchen scale.
Not sure the regular price difference is proportional to the added battery life, but at the sale prices, for sure. And even at the higher time unit price, it's worth it to me on principle. F the counterfeit/fake sellers

Never had a problem with eneloop or the japanese amazon rechargables, but I stay away from all other batteries on amazon.
Should never be stuck anywhere with a dead key fob battery. Read the manual…..
