I got one. Just be sure to enter the correct local warehouse ( use be within 50 miles of your residence) your zip code and select the free option to allow,the delivery fee. They made it so that it is easy to choose the additional delivery and setup by mistake.
Total $ 1,244.87 in Texas + a $350 shop card
The tax applies to the full amount and a shop card I cannot be deducted from the price, as such saying that it is $800 is not correct. However, this is the best price I have ever seen on this.

If you've never cooked on a Kamado type grill, you'll have to go through some learning pains. Took me a few tries to nail down temperature control for various cooks. Watch SmokingDadBBQ on YT, he has a great channel for the KJ.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Sounds like a pretty good deal. Purchased one, no shipping charges. As someone mentioned, the optional $67 is for setup if you don't want to manually construct the unit.
now it's time to see if this thing lives up to the hype.

One of the things I like about the Akorn is that it has the second top offset rack, which gives you a lot more room. I wonder if the Kamado Joe has an accessory for that? If so, you wouldn't need the Big Joe.

FYI, NEVER buy a used Big Green Egg or Kamado Joe unless you are getting it for an insane deal (At least 75% off). The warranty is priceless. Kamado Joe's warranty is amazing and responds quickly.
