I picked up a 77 G1 in January, and it's fantastic, although the main driver for the upgrade was size, the other features, while nice, weren't worth it coming from my C7.
Otherwise, I think I may just wait another year for 2nd gen QD-OLED, or discount on the first models. Though, the G1 looked like a nice option for wall mounting and possibly moving up to 77inch. Based on your comment, I suspect any upgrade right now may not be worth it just for picture quality alone.

65g1 is 1599 on there right now. Just picked one up for my new house. Lowest price I've ever seen!
