Slickdeals Golden Rule: Don't call to verify price!!! If not you're gonna ruin this awesome price

I bought this TV earlier for the $2250 price and I am 100% happy with the quality of images. I have a rather bright family room and this TV is just great in the room. Sure I wish I got it for the current $1960 price, but I'm done wheel'n and deal'n for a big screen TV.... I'm just enjoying it now. Thank you SlickDeal members for posting about this TV !

It's a stretch to call them clowns for saying that. You are brazenly extorting them, they knew it and played along. I mean do what you will to get a deal, but they are clowns to offer 10% back in the first place, not for telling you it can't stack.

Cancel trick is best done by waiting until the item has shipped and then chat with support.
I was just denied a further discount. They tried to sell me on other TVs but didn't cancel the order. Any tips once it does ship?

FYI
As I have done a few times (cancelled, with discount 10%, and also about to return the QN90a), I can offer some thoughts:

If you search SD you will see this TV has been dropping in price steadily over the past couple of months and it seems at times like it was sold out, but then Monday comes, and there's another stock and another price decrease. Yesterday it was actually $1820 so I expect this to keep dropping. So I don't think this price is all that crazy cheap, there was a time not so long ago when people said that about it getting to $2600, and then $2250, and then $1959 and now $1960 or lower with the tablet (assuming you return what is a junk tablet)

I agree with above comments that best cancellation trick is to wait til it ships then just chat and you will get 10% off (max $250). if you try to get 5% by clicking the cancel button you will get max $250 later. You have to keep chatting with someone if it doesn't work the first time. You can check my prior posts on how to do it.

return process:
My wife and I mounted it and now returning. it took 1 hour to take it off and rebox it. main time spent was getting off the wall, the rebox is pretty easy if you keep all the prior materials. Schedule pickup via Fedex.

If I do the cancel order trick, it will warn me right before it actually cancels it?

Was able to sign up my wife using her teacher's email. Price still showed $2599, but when you go to checkout, it auto-sent me to ID.me to verify her account. Once that was done, it came back to Samsung.com and showed the lower price. Now to figure out which tablet to add to get bundle discount.

Placed my order but when I go to cancel and click on "chat now" nothing comes up. No chat. I tried on chrome and firefox but can not start a chat session.
This chat open as a pop up . Make sure that is allowed by your browser. This isn't the usual floating chat on the website

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting perspective concerning the price drop. Their $5K MSRP is crazy. The TV is similar to a TV (Q70R 65" for $1k) I bought from them many years ago with local dimming (this has mini LED and many many more dimming zones) but they are essentially the same.

How do you return the tablet and keep the discount? Why did you return the TV? This discount is amazing but hard to pass up costco convenience.

Woah no tax? I checked out through my employer but I'm also a veteran. Are veterans getting no tax?

Verified my military status through ID.ME and it shows at the top of the toolbar that the military discount is active on my account, but still shows as $2,599 at checkout. Under the "My Benefits" tab, it only shows a discount in TV's for the categories Monitor Accessories, Monitors, and TV accessories. So I guess this deal doesn't apply to military.

I haven't done the tablet/ TV combo, maybe can look at the thread on people who did the crazy triple combo deal for the 75" QN90a for $1600 to see if anyone returned the items. If you look under the order for TV and tablet, there will be two options to cancel each item. I tried clicking on cancel for the tablet and it states if I cancel the tablet, it will cancel the whole order as this is a special combo. So that probably means that if you returned the tablet later the TV will revert to the higher price.

I am returning the TV b/c I got it at the higher supposedly good price at the time $2250 (1 month ago) and they refused to do price match b/c I got the 10% cancel already. I have nothing else to do so we did the return and it's not that big a hassle.

Thanks OP. After some back and forth, finally got it working. Had to re-order because ad-blocker didn't register my Chase UR shopping portal order. $2083 and change out the door w/ Galaxy A8 32GB tablet.

Shows $1190, but isn't available once I try to add to cart.

Tried again, and it worked. Both the 85" and 65" is going in and out of stock, so be quick if you want it.

65" - $1070.99
Tab A8 32GG - $145.79

Total - $1216.78
