I bought this TV earlier for the $2250 price and I am 100% happy with the quality of images. I have a rather bright family room and this TV is just great in the room. Sure I wish I got it for the current $1960 price, but I'm done wheel'n and deal'n for a big screen TV.... I'm just enjoying it now. Thank you SlickDeal members for posting about this TV !

It's a stretch to call them clowns for saying that. You are brazenly extorting them, they knew it and played along. I mean do what you will to get a deal, but they are clowns to offer 10% back in the first place, not for telling you it can't stack.

Just say I am considering cancelling the order due to the shipping date is earlier or later than expected. Then fairly quickly they give the 10% offer.

So tempted. I just got the 85" Q80A which is basically the new version of Q80T (rtings 8.3) for about 1450. Should I return and get this? Is the new QN90A worth ~300+ dollars?
Quote from MountainLionPete :
Same here. The 2021 85" Q80A is basically the 2020 Q80T which is an excellent TV. Now this deal comes out and makes me want to cancel. First world problems.
Looking at Rtings. The Q80A is rated as 7.7 with 50 dimming zones. The QN90A is rated 8.6. The QN90A 55" has 576 dimming zones and the 65" has 792 zones. I don't know how many zones the 75" & 85" have but you can assume more. Anyways that is why you buy the more premium TVs currently is for more dimming zones making them have better contrast similar to a OLED TV but without the OLED downsides.

My QN90A 85" shipped a few days ago. got Samsung to offer me the 10% discount yesterday. The Samsung support clowns now refuse to price match because the already gave me the 10% discount, even after I told them im just going to refuse the shipment.

What is my best bet now? Refuse shipment and reorder? Are people getting the additional 10% discount on top of the $1960 price?
Didn't you get a free $400 vacuum and monitor also? Just take your W! I waited too long last time researching. Guess this time it paid off.

I had the 77" C1 OLED in hand. But I was worried that the OLED wouldn't look great in my "Great Room" viewing area. Too many windows and ambient light, reflections, etc. 83" OLED is ideal, but it's so damn expensive for the extra 6", and burn-in anxiety is real. My buddy's LG B1 I think, has major burn-in, and looks like crap.

Hopefully this 85" Samsung, which gets great reviews for bright rooms, will hold me over for several years, until either OLED burn-in is less of an issue, and prices drop to sub-$3K for an 85". Or UST projectors improve and come down in price. Can't argue with the clean look of a UST on a frame screen.
I went Neo QLED specifically for brightness. I have large south facing great room windows. So I won't have direct glare but it will be bright. Close friend just bought A80J from Costco and I wasn't impressed with the brightness to my Q70R (2019). Maybe I just like the brighter VA panels now.
