I bought this TV earlier for the $2250 price and I am 100% happy with the quality of images. I have a rather bright family room and this TV is just great in the room. Sure I wish I got it for the current $1960 price, but I'm done wheel'n and deal'n for a big screen TV.... I'm just enjoying it now. Thank you SlickDeal members for posting about this TV !

It's a stretch to call them clowns for saying that. You are brazenly extorting them, they knew it and played along. I mean do what you will to get a deal, but they are clowns to offer 10% back in the first place, not for telling you it can't stack.

Does 65 inch have this deal? How does it handle 2.1 features? Vrr, hdr, local dimming and 120hz and 4k at game time?

Is anyone concerned as to why they still have this many qn90a for sale? It's supposed to be discontinued right? How do they still have this many when it as out stock 2 weeks ago?

Curious to see the manufacture dates on mine when it arrives
It could be simply demand and supply. Probably These TVs were selling very well that Samsung could not kept up with demand. In fear of supply chain issues and and projection of hugh demand, it was entire possible Samsung made too many of them. If we notice the recent news, however, big tv sale has been slowed down last quarter. These could result in a hugh surplus.

Mine originally was supposed to arrive June 8, got it two weeks ago. It's an awesome TV, deserves the high ratings. If you qualify for this discount, why ask why? lol

They've been held up in ports for several months. Now that ports are open, retailers have an excess amount of last year's merchandise and will have to discount heavily to make room for new models. Win-win.

I paid 3300 for a Samsung 52" back in 2016. If I had a time machine, I'd go back and tell my 2016 self to not buy the 52" and have myself help myself fit a 85" through the time portal.

Maybe give me self a sports almanac too.
No such thing as a 52" tv in 2016, and the very top of the line 65" Panasonic plasma flat screens were $1900 in 2012. I think you mean 2008.

Correct. You are. I can't believe it's been that long. It's a lna-5265f something like that. Which is still kickin ass at my parents house. Whenever I see it in person I'm still pretty blown away by the image quality. Better than the entry level Samsung 60" that I bought in 2016? Haha That one died twice

Yeah, it's why I keep waiting, already returned one last week as this dropped more and would save $600 to keep new one, so this time I am not taking delivery just yet. If you look at this model it has dropped quite a bit in just 2 months and there seems to be plenty of stock despite it going "out of stock" for a brief period. There are quite a few reports out there of over supply of certain products including TVs, and maybe this is one of them. For me, there's no rush so can wait a bit to see if it hits $1500

Yes, yes, yes and yes. Only one port does all features though. They now have hdmi 2.1 splitters, so you can expand

I might be asking a silly question(s), but, I'll ask!!! And, given the comments I've seen on SD, I'm guessing that there'll be knowledgeable people about TVs going back more than 10 years (also posted in 75" thread, but I see that there are tons more involved in this QN90A discussion/thread -- looking for more thoughts, and opinions on this).

Motivating Situation: A 32" Samsung that I use in a sun room, and that I've had for about 8 years, is cooked, and I am going to replace it.

Current Inventory: I also have two 50", 720p, Panasonic Plasma's from 2009 (TC-P50X1) that are still working fine, and images look good to me (I only use them for watching tv, no gaming, no DVDs, etc.). One is in the family room, and the other is in the man cave.

Option 1 is replace the 32" with another smallish screen tv (maybe up to 50" screen). I'd probably spend $200-$400. TV use is minimal in this room, the sun room.
Option 2 is get the 65" QN90A for the family room, and take the 50" Panasonic Plasma in the family room, and put it in the sun room.

I'm loving the ridiculous reliability of the Panasonics, and the images look fine to me. But, I understand that I don't know anything better because I am accustomed to what I have. Although, I've watched more-current/modern televisions at airbnbs, and hotels, and have never come away feeling that I'm missing anything picture quality wise.

But, the reviews, comments, and deal, for the QN90A look super. Maybe it's time to get another TV. I don't know how much longer these Panasonics will go (the original specs, and literature claim I'd get about 33 years given 8 hours per day on average -- I don't use it that much).

My only concern is reliability with the QN90A. I've become accustomed to bulletproof reliability.

This question may tough to answer - Go more in the direction of Option 1, or in Option 2, or wait for the deal next year on the Q90B (which has supposedly cleaned up a few issues that exist with the QN90A -- I could probably wait as I've been going 13 years with my Panasonics, so, what's another year when I am looking to buy for the long haul) ? After typing that, and knowing this is Slickdeals, I think I already know the answer. Thank you!!!
Friend of mine actually had an old Sharp or Samsung (?) 720P plasma in a sun room, it eventually ran into thermal problems where it would only run when it was cool, so they moved it down to the basement. This was mid 2010's, they replaced it with a 1080P LG plasma, one of the last made. Mostly used at night.

YMMV but I'd worry the old pannys wouldn't hold up in the sun room. Depends on how hot it gets mid summer. Regardless they are fully obsolete at this point and not worth anything on the used market (give away), so you might as well run it into the ground. Expect poor visual performance in a brightly lit room due to low brightness and reflective screen.

I assume he added tablet and they break out price of tablet separately. If you were planning on buying a tablet it's the true price paid assuming they A8 is valued at 150.

Huge 2021 orders and now the US economy is in free fall. This is squarely an optional, luxury purchase. If your paying $6/gal for gas and your stock and crypto are down 50% you aren't buying an 85" TV.

I'm looking to replace my Benq W1070, but will probably just wait for next years LED projectors.
