I can't say I've ever seen Jai Alai called "scoop ball," but then again, this company is in Minnesota where the popular kids' circle game is called "Duck Duck Grey Duck" Wink

I was a young adult the first time I heard someone call the beanbag toss "cornhole." It was a friend's parent and I laughed extra hard at their joke because I wanted to seem fun. Then I realized they weren't joking and they thought I was laughing AT them.

Basque sport that was later imported into Cuba and Florida. Its like racquetball, but played on a giant indoor field. Usually there is gambling involved. It uses those curved throwers (cestas?) But in the real thing they're huge and tied to the player's hand. Hard throws can hit incredible speeds, almost 200mph.
