My guess is they're just clearing excess stock of the watch and phone. The Flip3 was announced/released in August of 2021 and there are a ton of rumors pointing to the Google Watch being released in the next couple months.
Thanks for sharing - It's still a great phone/watch combo.
the trade in value or the full amount that I paid for? restocking fee for what? even if it's not opened
You will get GF for the amount you received for the trade in and then whatever you paid on top of it, no restocking fee if not opened, I think you have 14 days to return.

finally bit the bullet and opened a verizon account yesterday since T-mobile are not available. I got 2 phones in store with the watches set to ship home. I tried online order for store pick up today; one order has "ready to pick up" and the other with "partial order" ready for pick up as the phone is out of stock there. The watch became over $400 after tax without the bundle discount so i cancelled that order and placed another one at another location with both in stock. about an hour later, i got a text message saying they wouldn't verify my information so they had to cancel the new order. Then i received an email saying:
"Unfortunately, we had to cancel your order because it has exceeded our orderable quantity limits. Please see our Conditions of Use, which explains order limitations and limited quantities.
If you'd like to place an order for your business, our Account Managers at Best Buy for Business™ will be more than happy to assist you."

Yup, same here
So what is the threshold? More than 5 of any one exact phone model? 10+ total phones in a few months, etc or when at what point did you hit it?
I've done 4 ZF3's, 2 S22+, and an S22U, and heading in tomorrow to do 2 more S22U's.
I have 9 lines but I don't think that matters as this is a BB restriction, especially for the unlocked and activate later phones??

3 phones total EVER for smartphones. The last time I purchased phones from Best Buy was about 10 years ago for one of those throw-away AT&T flip phones for like $10 or so each. Bought 2. Still I one in sealed package. Don't remember what I did with the other one as I cannot find it...
Got 3 Z Flip 3 5G Verizon variety as T-mobile are sold out: 2 in store at sign up for verizon service, 2 online orders with 1 cancelled due to stock issue. when re-order to pick up at another store, the new order got cancelled with that message. I haven't tried purchasing anything else since. Total phones under my account is 3.
I meant to go trade in yesterday but wanted to cancel my verizon account first just in case. It was like pulling teeth. Was soooooo excruciating. They refused to cancel/disconnect/close the account until the end of billing cycle, which is a month from now. They said it was the policy, etc. Then they pulled up my Fios account and proceeded to cancel everything, etc, etc, etc.
I have to contact them again next week to make sure everything was done correctly as the service was abruptly disconnected after the last rep said "It is done"! So not worth it for just 3 phones and 3 watches.
I was physically and mentally drained after 5 hours (give or take) on the phone and via chat with Verizon and just wanted to rest so I didn't go to Best Buy yesterday. So sad for that decision now
I just went to Best Buy earlier today to trade in phones to purchase the 22 ultra but system gave $350 gc and $450 coupons. Not allow to double stack coupons so I asked the rep to cancel the trade.
So late to the party. What to do with those phones and watches

So I ordered 2 S22+ 10 days ago and traded in ZF3's in store, They just arrived at store today, haven't picked them up. . .but checked my online BB order history, and all of a sudden it says for each phone as payment $0 for main gift card (formerly $800) and $0 for second gift card (formerly $11) . . .

TIV for flip3 is only $350 and you get the other $450 as a "coupon" towards the S22 series so $800 of "value" total.
So if you return the S22, you only walk away with $350 on a GC. The $450 "coupon" is one time use and gone.
