The most powerful cordless saw I've used. Blows lower voltage saws out of the water. The downside is that it's extremely heavy for a cordless tool. I see a lot of framers using these in residential new construction.

Wow, I checked on the price of this @HD for a couple of years before finally picking up a Makita 36v. I would have jumped on this.

I believe you can use the 20v flexvolt batteries. Must be the flexvolt.

It might be more powerful than a corded saw?

If Dewalt is being honest about this thing being 2456 watts, then that's more than the 1800 watts that a corded outlet could even deliver

Doesn't beat a Ridgid with a lifetime warranty. Dewalt ripped me off with their crap repairs (inside warranty) that broke again just outside warranty period

Have saw, has cut through everything I've thrown at it with ease except 6x6 (haven't tried). Definitely on the heavier side, but that helps to keep it steady, barely have to push down.

Carpenter here, this is my every day saw. Don't pull out my old corded ones unless I'm cutting brick/concrete

I paid $449 for the kit when it was released & I don't regret it at all. This is far & away the best circular saw I've ever used so at this price, even for just the bare tool.... I'm surprised there's any left in stock.
