Do these work? Some of the reviews not so great but I would assume some of it is user error and not realizing you still have a good amount of maintenance for this to work. I scoop my cats litter on daily basis so not sure I'd like one of these especially considering the cost. Funny it has Wi-Fi lol

I haven't used this personally, but after doing a good amount of research I pulled the trigger on this one for a couple reasons. First, it sounds like it does a good job of protecting against odor compared to other automatic litter boxes. Secondly, I think that it has one of the least-scary designs of the self-cleaning litter boxes out there. Granted it looks like your cat will blast off in T-minus ten seconds when they hop inside, but I know my cats and they are not hopping inside of the cement mixer-design of other popular self-cleaning litter boxes to do their business. I think they'd be weirded out by this at first, but then they'd be fine with it.

I don't have this one, but use something similar. This is one of the best questionable purchases i ever had. It increased the quality of my life by 100x. I have two cats

Make sure you buy rotational litter box. Not the automatic scooping box

Don't think this one showed up in my research when we bought one... but the litter robot we got (which is about the same price) is great. Consider both.

I really like my Litter Robot III and if they have them in stock you can get the refurb units for a discount just like new. The thing about these is the size inside space, if your like most cat owners you have a 15 to 20 pd cat and well they need more space..

How's the 3 with larger cats? Our beefcakes are all around 13-15lbs and pretty long

Definitely check out the Litter Robot 4. The opening is SIGNIFICANTLY larger. https://www.litter-robot.com/expl...er-robot-4

I bought the litter robot 3 and returned it because its not exactly safe with only one sensor. The Petkit I believe comes with redundant sensors - weight, optical and infrared to avoid cycling with the cat still inside. I'll probably consider the 4 when its time to get another box, but only if its safer than the previous generations.

Maybe QA is subpar, but fr there will be negative reviews for any box out there. Mine's been functional for a year with only a few minor issues, the overall features and practical utility for these boxes are worth the price tag.

I've owned a litter robot for about 10+ years now, still going strong. It was the best purchase I've ever made for my 2 cats. Honestly, not having to worry about scooping every single day, and also dealing with cats being difficult if the litterbox isn't clean, is such a blessing. Someone mentioned that they are worried about litter robot's weight sensor. Well, in the 10+ years, I've never had any issues. Cats are very smart, if it ever does start moving, I am sure they'd jump out quickly.

But definitely worth the heavy investment in one of these automatic ones. And yes, definitely get one that rolls instead of something that runs some sort of a grill or rakes through. The rolling motion ensures that the feces are completely covered and sealed, so it doesn't stick anywhere.

Have the Max version... It's OK. I overpaid. It's got flaws. Would I be happy at $100? Sure. At this price, not really
