Looking for a budget laptop for gaming (nothing crazy, indies and AAs mostly,) and minimal content creation. How would this one do? Sincerely appreciate any and all help!

This should work. You might want to upgrade the ram, and it's nothing that will blow you away. However for indie and AA it should be fine for a while.

I'm liking the specifications of this laptop. I understand it is not AMD, last Gen or 4K but does any of you know the screen brightness and the battery life of this model? Thanks

Bought this laptop in December for 700 incl. taxes. Received the MIR a week ago. A $100 visa Gift card.

Overall, the laptop struggles with new titles but titles before 2019 are all playable at high/ultra. Been playing BF4 recently @Ultra with FOV set to max and getting 70-80FPS. Gets the job done.

Have played AC Odyssey, AC Origins @Ultra. 3050 struggles at running AC Valhalla and COD warzone smoothly. Overall, a good purchase at 628.

One more thing, the GPU is 60 Watts. Not the fastest 3050 around.

At $628 for a 3050, you're gonna be wishing you spent a little more for at least a 3060. You'll never enjoy 144hz with any remotely graphically intense game.

If you're mainly an esports or MMO player, this is probably fine for you though.

3050 4b mobile is only a bit faster than 1060, slower than 1070 mobile counterparts. Would recommend passing on this unless you're looking to time travel to 2016

The micro center has upgrades across the board. 1 TB instead of 512 GB, 3060 instead of a 3050, i7 instead of an i5, 16 GB instead of 8gb.

Ordered 1. It just shipped and I am already having second thoughts. Reports of abysmal battery life, poor keyboard and garish design have me worried. We will see how it goes. Since its from MS I am wondering if it can be returned to store.
