I've mentioned this in other threads, but if you KNOW that this helmet fits and you're not concerned about returning it, buying from a European seller can save you a bunch. Apparently MC gear has a tariff on it, so we're paying a premium here in the US.
FC-Moto.de is the site I've used, but there are others. If you buy a few items the savings will outweigh the shipping costs. If you watch for discontinued color schemes you can save a ton. Last year I got a discontinued colorway Scorpion Exo R1 Air and a Rev'it Eclipse jacket for about $400 shipped. Returns are not cost effective, so you should know that you're buying.
Add me to the list of Thanking You for a motorcycle dealio! I don't quite get why SNELL won't give certification on the internal visors.... But what I would like to know is if a helmet has an internal visor....would it pass SNELL if it did not have the internal visor. And on other helmets that don't pass SNELL....I'd like to know why it didn't pass SNELL. It could be something small or stupid that one could tweak to make the helmet more safe.

If you agree, why not thank ?

There is some argument about this, but for motorcycle helmets I would rather trust the new ECE 22.06 standard than SNELL, which may be better for automotive racing. If you really want to go all out, look for an FIM homologated helmet.
Supposedly, some brands don't even try to meet certain standards because they don't believe in the testing methodology. Honestly, if I'm buying a Shoei, Arai, or other big name, in not even checking the certification stickers.
Great deal if you want a specific solid color etc. Or you are not as picky these guys have a couple models for $489 no tax CA and free shipping. https://motorcyclecloseouts.com/shoei/
I just bought 2 and did a hackintosh setup with Cardo instead of the rip off Sena stuff even though the GT AIR 2 is meant for the Sena. Also rep for Brakefree if you haven't seen it, be seen out there.
Hi motorcycling community, does anyone have a recommendation for a true round head shape helmet? I am currently sporting a very old Shoei Qwest that I'd like to replace, and prior that HJC CL15, but all of the new helmets these days seem to be intermediate oval at best. Does removing those custom fit liners actually work for rounder heads?
