I have purchased from this company a couple of times. The unflavored is as described, NO FLAVOR. I added things like cinnamon and vanilla extract to help add flavor. I have tried both soy and pea and they both mix well in a shake

I'm not an expert on soy protein prices. I don't use this product myself. I'm sure you could have found it for this price or cheaper until recently, but with prices being what they are right now this is probably a good deal.

soy has a 30g serving size for 26 grams of protein, whey isolate has a 25g serving for 22 grams of protein. in general whey protein is king for absorbing time frame and rate (so i've read).

even by the protein per serving size, whey is slightly better.

In other words, the soy isolate is 86.6% protein and the whey isolate is 88% protein.

You are right. Last year I bought 2lbs of 5.5lbs soy protein isolate for $39.98. I was misreading the total saved. Maybe better to wait?
