If not, they will sound ok but not even come close to maxing out their potential.
This V2 is only sold by Adorama so the "Suggested Retail" is pretty meaningless. Its a nice headphone...but don't buy just cause of the supposed huge discount.
Adorama often has open box customer returns that can be the lowest price on them...not in stock now.

I would still have it if the Hifiman Edition XS didn't come out at $499. The XS outperforms the V2 in almost every way IMO, and requires much less power.
