It seems like the price has lowered by $100 for most EVGA cards since last time. EVGA price matches for only 14 days.

my take
Value
- way over priced for this stage in the lifecycle. support will be more limited in a couple of months.
- as compared to what you can get on a console things have gotten so out of wack i can't see anyway to make a case for this.
- the prices aren't good they are just last bad than the last few years.
Solutions at least go though this before you buy this inflated card.
- if you can wait 1-2 more years. After manufacturing has rebounded.
- buy a console for now where the large companies like MSFT and Sony have secured cheap and accessible manufacturing and the resellers and crappy companies like evga and such have been cut out (they are inflating these prices a lot)
- at least wait for the summer IT'S LIKE 2 MONTHS for the new stuff to get released
- even intel may also help in the mid range. which IMO is what you should buy these days (mid range). This is extravagant. 1200 for a gpu are you kidding me.
- if you can't do any of this good luck.
I would take an xbox over a 3060, and that's just based on real performance and long term support and hassle. This doesn't become interesting until we get to 3070, and even then i think a lot of us have to think. Then go look at the prices. I hear this argument about games cost. That's totally not true. I'm getting insane deals on Xbox games. Games i can't play. They are usually indi games you don't need this gpu. Look i was a pc gamer. but the only way this market will correct is if you stop buying this stuff. Other arguments. Go get a really nice oled tv and an xbox, or a gpu,-- that 's worthless in 4 years or a lot less than 2. This makes zero sense. Or just save the money. You can do that too. This is a market economy use it to your advantage.
Why this is relevant here. I don't think it's a good deal in absolute terms. I think the product is over rated. And 10gb is a joke. They are doing this to limit the useful life of the card. You can get 400 cards with more ram. The ram will be the undoing of this card. Your basically getting this for 4k maybe 2k you don't need it for 1080p. Think about that. They are charging top dollar. 12gb is practically what they were selling on the 1080ti (11) and you could get that for 400 at this stage back in the day. This is not a good deal. The card should have 24 gb ram at this price. It will eventually matter to the life of the card. Nobody optimizes pc games. You need it.
I would love to understand how people are justifying this. It's the greatest mystery to me.

Let the channel partners EAT these over priced relics. Leaked specs now suggest the 4070 will outperform the 3090 for a MSRP of $699. I laugh at those that are going to spend over $1000 on a 3090 when at the end of the year it won't even be worth half that.
