You're also, not paying for gas to and from the store, and you save time that would be spent shopping and driving. Time is priceless in my opinion, so services like this are well worth the money without a discount and you're complaining about only saving 15-20 dollars when you're saving so much more.

I worked in the restaurant industry for over 20+ years and you literally have no idea what you are talking about. There are multiple types of restaurants that require servers. Yes, there are fancy restaurants that a waitress makes bank, but lets not forget the Applebees, Waffle House, mom and pops where they are getting stiffed on tips or getting 10% or less depending on where they live in this country. Widen your perspective.
I respectfully disagree with all noise about getting less tips. Company (IC or any Restaurant) is makin full money by adding all of their inflated and other cost. They include cost of service (which I assume for delivery person and waiter) in their bill. Now if they are not paying to their staff and leaving them on TIP.. then consumer is NOT AT FAULT. Its the "Employee" who accepted the job with less salary (thinking ppl will give TIP) and the "Employer" who is taking all money and not giving it to staff.
Whole cry and model about employee living on TIP is unnecessary. First don't offer a job if you can't pay and don't take the job if you feel salary is not enough. TIP should be "perk" not the basic's of your salary.

Thats the problem, you are "assuming" how things work, but unless you research or ask then you will never know. Just because you think or assume it should be one way, doesn't mean it is. Dont offer a job if you cant pay? Really? Look at Uber and IC, they start the business paying out lots of money to employees, then drastically cut back when they want to go public. Google tip share fraud and look at the mom and pops that STEAL from the tipped employees and the employees never know. Do some research next time and just be on the look out for those that ony get $2.13 and drop the thinking of well they should just get another job then. Lame.

Just like the waiters who always cry about their 2.35 an hour minimum wage, but never tell you about their hundreds of dollars in tips
That's part of their narrative. That's how 99% of the population functions; conveniently leaving out select info to make their situation look better or worse.

I am tempted to order some mulch for lowes using another offer but feeling bad about ordering heavy items even though I am ready to give $10-$15 tip and $5 delivery surcharge. Does anyone know if they have a appropriate truck or something to deliver bigger item from lower. Don't want a poor guy stuck with my order with a small car.

I'm not a waiter but I do know that waiters don't generally make "hundreds" of dollars in tips per day or even a hundred in general. That's not to say they're a bad waiter, that's to say that they are working at a location that doesn't tip as well which is more often than not.

So far I'm pretty happy with how Instacart handles promotion. There were a couple of times before when my order did not reach the minimum amount due to out of stock items or shopper could not find the ordered items (and no replacement items available), Instacart still honored the promo ( one of them involved Paypal ). Hopefully they keep that policy.....

Depends on where you work. You should be able to make a couple hundred bucks in tips as a server working a dinner shift at a decently busy restaurant in the city or a nice suburb. Maybe not at Waffle House, but a lot of places. I made $200+ in tips most nights when I delivered pizza in the city a few years ago.

Definitely not the norm or people would be fighting for those jobs. Typical pizza delivery guy would be lucky to clear $100 on Fri/Sat and during the week it's pretty dead unless you live in a very densely packed urban area (e.g. NYC). Of course if you live in one of those densely packed urban areas the cost of living is considerably higher, so even $200 2 night a week isn't going to leave you swimming in cash. Been there, done that.
