You sat your ass at home and got someone else to do your bidding, on top of that there is a discount.
People have to be paid yo hence fees.

You're also, not paying for gas to and from the store, and you save time that would be spent shopping and driving. Time is priceless in my opinion, so services like this are well worth the money without a discount and you're complaining about only saving 15-20 dollars when you're saving so much more.

What a complete garbage take. Just own it and admit you're a cheap pos.

Y'all are doing it wrong... place toilet paper order that barely eclipses $50... message shopper to grab 5 instead of 8 packages of store brand tp. Coupon still applies. So I get 5 packages of tp for 14 bucks... 7 of which is tip for driver (only a mile to my house from store) This is the 3rd time I've hosed instacart doing this kind of deal. F em cause I'm normally one of their shoppers.

Another thing that nobody mentions is that you find yourself actually wasting more time browsing Instacart trying to build a cart that will be about $50ish to maximize the deal

Not to mention checking the prices that sometimes are way too inflated. For instance, chicken breast at Costco is $3.49 per lb, and instacart sells for $4.34 per lb, that is 24% mark up. Since Costco only sells in bulk, for 10lb you end up overpaying $8.34, and that is just one item

If they replaced one of your item with something cheaper and the price drops below 50, will the 35 discount still apply

Ok. Made a new account. Ended up scrolling for a good half an hour figuring out what to buy Placed an order. It got immediately cancelled and had me locked out. Like instacart was waiting for me to place an order so that they can lock the account.

F you instacart. If you are going to lock it, lock it right away. Just wasted my time and got my money on hold for God knows how long

No. Then the shopper asks you to edit the order on your end instead. They cant (won't) make those changes on their own

You tried to game the system and you got caught.

Yeah, I'll be shedding a few tears for you, for sure.

Thanks op! We need groceries and placed an order with Aldi. even after all the fees and a tip we still saved money on the final price. Plus we didn't even have to leave the house, what a great deal! Rep.

Lol @ trying to cheat the system and still feeling entitled to a prompt shut down so that your time isn't wasted.

Thanks OP! Stacked with local supermarket deal for buy 2 get 4 Pepsi/Dr Pepper products as well as a $5 off $30 Pepsi products. Ended up with 18 6x16.9fl bottles for less than $20. That's like 18 cents a bottle. 13 cents if you count the 5 cents bottle return.

Very nice… $52 worth of meats (all sale priced from local grocery store) for $28.77 after 10% tip (delivery was free, $4.82 Service Fee, $0.40 fuel surcharge).

So I saved $19.xx after fees/tip along with gas/car wear and time for items I was going to get anyhow.

Thank you!

Yeah everything is at least marked up 5%-10% from what I can see from Total Wine and Aldi.

Wow, super fast and friendly!! Well picked and packed.

I know it's individual experiences and stores (I selected Raleys in California), but this is a great way to get me on-board with Instacart.

I should have tipped more (it was reduced by reduced amount, I think $10 flat would've been a better option).

I saved around $25 after fees as well as my time, fuel/car wear and the convenience factor (only had to say Thank you through the Ring camera and have my son bring it in - barely paused Obi-wan Kenobi for a minute).
