Smoking deal with Renewed Premium introducing their new line of Microsoft laptops. The laptop is ship and sold by Amazon, refurbished by Microsoft, comes with flawless cosmetics and a brand new battery with 100% Battery Health....
All of that for 50% off new and $100 cheaper than the standard 'Renewed' product sold by sellers.
I used this laptop for my business a little over a year, and there is one somewhat major design flaw.
To make it as slim as possible, Microsoft decided not to put any protection around the edge of the screen glass. When it's closed, the edge directly touches the bottom (aluminum, I assume) of the laptop. You can clearly feel the screen hitting the bottom part when you close it.
So, if you carry it around in tight laptop bag, it continuously put stress on top of the screen. Issue on mine started with webcam not being recognized time to time. Some people further experience cracking screen.
I had Complete coverage, so MS replaced it. But make sure you are covered, or careful when you close it or carry around, so that screen is not stressed. Microsoft is well aware of the issue, and I believe they fixed the issue by putting protection around the edge with Laptop 4.
Otherwise, great laptop, but that one flaw made me switch to other laptop (XPS 13).
8GB memory...
Why oh why?
Old I5 Cpu and 8GB of Ram that can't be upgraded. And 256GB of storage.....
Rather keep looking for something better and not pay extra for Surface branding and be able to upgrade/change components if needed.

anybody has exp. with this Amazon gurantee?
you can basically return the product for one year, no questions asked.
I'm not seeing any reference to a brand new battery. In two places, it mentions "minimum 90% battery health" and in another place it mentions "Minimum 80% battery life"
like the old costco policy, wonder how long it will last
"We reserve the right to decline a return or refund if we determine that the Amazon Renewed Guarantee is being abused." - Sounds like it might not be guaranteed
