That's mentioned in that link as well, isn't it? Chrome OS needs certain security features and the "C" version for any Ryzen cpu is the Chromebook optimised version of it.

I went ahead and ordered one to see how it performs. Just like how Apple devices are optimized to run well with 4-8GB RAM depending on the OS, Chrome OS is the same. This Chromebook looks super delicious based on the build materials and specs. I personally don't care if it has 16-32GB of storage. I always rely on the cloud, plus it has a memory card support.

A lot of people complaining about storage in Chromebooks probably have never owned one lol.

Worth it for the build, well - if it's not changed, and the screen -bitching contrast level as a stated spec! A good screen goes a long way. Think of it this way, long after you think this is "outdated" it will still stream stuff on that pretty damn good FHD screen.

I am sad at the 4GB RAM, but I still daily use 3 Dell 7486 chromebooks with that amount of RAM.

That said, I'm getting one for exactly those reasons. In general use I'll bet this feels similar to the top-spec 3700C 4k version I had for a while.

And don't forget the garaged USI pen. I don't use it a lot but when you need it it's along for the ride.

ChromeOS works perfectly fine with 4GB RAM. It'll even put up with some tab hoarding. I still use a few 8th gen intel processor chromebooks alongside my high end chromebooks.

This is true. I tested my current Acer Spin 513 with about 12-14 tabs and Google Play store in the background, the system was showing about 400Mb free and another 1.2Gb of buffer RAM. Which means the system still has a lot of RAM to keep things running smoothly. And never personally keep more than 4-5 tabs open, I get lost with too many tabs, even with virtual desktops.
