There isn't a new sub anywhere that can match the output of the SPL-150 at that price, or anywhere close to it. The Monolith 12 is an excellent sub that will sound "tighter" to more discerning folks, but to someone that just wants great bass, especially for movies, that Klipsch can't be beat unless you are planning to spend double. Anyone that has heard both IRL will agree with this.

According to reviews, yes, they are supposed to be a good leap forward. I've not heard it myself but have been looking for an opportunity to compare to my RP-150M. The newer 600M II models are supposed to further refine what leaps forward the 600M supposedly made

WOW 😯 what a deal! I'm slightly jealous!? I got 2x- 8000fs for 499, 2x -504c & 502s for a 1-200 more & was amp'd at the time for that deal😆 but this is the real banger for sure👏 I feel like grabbing an 8060fa or two & figuring out how to work them into the mix lol So is this potentially an indication of the whole RP line being updated? I c most people r digging the 600m-ii which is nice to hear

I just bought the Monolith 12 v2 from Amazon for $724 + tax. Does anyone think I should return it and get the SPL-150 for $579?

For what it's worth the equivalent of the RP-150M is the RP-500M, those are the 5 inch woofers. Both speakers were reviewed pretty well but the 500s are supposedly slightly better. If you wanna go bigger, the 600M is probably a lot better than the 150M - it's both bigger and newer.

Feel like most speaker manufacturers pushed through 15-20% price increases over the last year so I also thought we would never see this deal again. But I guess because it's now one generation old, it's probably 15-20% off…

As inflation looms and wages/consumer demand stagnates, you are going to see products with high markups eventually have more sales in order to move inventory. I know that RP gen IIs being recently released probably played a role in this particular sale, but I would not be surprised if a lot of other home audio products from other brands (such as Monolith) start having better sales than we've seen in the past year or so very soon.
