Also, it should be noted that the S70's heat sink cannot/should not be removed because doing so will likely break components on the PCB. This means that the integrated M.2 heat sink on your motherboard will need to be removed to run this drive if you have one

IMO the blade version of this drive with the newer flash and heat sink separate would be more desirable. Etheir one tho is a good performer according to articles just be sure to update firmware.
It fits with the included heatsink with the PS5 SSD cover off. For what it's worth I've been doing this with this model for 8 months and it's been fine.

I recommend getting a be quiet! MC1 heatsink. I have the MC1 Pro and it is built very well. The MC1 is the lower profile version that fits in a PS5.
