Be careful on Amazon of 3rd part sellers. I needed one for a build and ended up paying about 250 which is still a great price. Several 3rd parties had it about $15-20 cheaper, but didn't have a long feedback history of good comments.

Also keep in mind there is the "with Heatsink" and without. This is the "without."
Normally at the heatsink model goes for about $20 more. The "heatsink" model is still a lot more on Amazon ($290 which had been around the standard pricing for a while, usually $280-300).

You can buy your own heatsink for $6-12 from other sellers but I thought it was worth it for me to get the one with it set up that way by the manufacturer. I bought mine from BB for about $280 with the original heatsink. I'd agree with the warning about 3d-party sellers for any memory product and in general not worth the risk.

$240 now on WD site. But you can use edu discount for 15% off which comes out to $204. Then another 5% CB from a specific site, which puts it around $195 (which may or may not work with the edu discount).

Doesn't work unfortunately. Edu code discounts off original price. Does not combine with promo on WD site.
