Based on slickdeals posts, the lowest this controller has gone was $40 during Black Friday (and only if you are lucky enough to find that price at a nearby Walmart in store). Otherwise the lowest price is $50.

So, do you really want to wait forever for that $15 price difference which may not even happen again? Even $50 could be a long wait.

(By the way, the "has been out since 2017" logic is irrelevant about Nintendo products. Nintendo could not care less about that and they are NOT going to reduce price.)
3rd party seller.
With 0 seller feedback, probably not a good sign.

I understand the appeal of this deal. But I gotta ask:

Is it really worth waiting for this to hit $39.99 price point? obviously no body knows when but this controller has been out since 2017 and I have been hoping for decent discount Frown

Not to me it's not worth waiting. You will wait 3-4 more years for ~$10, I don't know if it's worth it to you, but you will be waiting that long for a CHANCE at it dropping.

Look at the seller name. It's a third party so I would stay away.

Yeah if you look at the suspiciously cheap pro controllers on Walmart online, they always come from very clearly Chinese named 3rd party sellers with like 10 words in the name rather than legit sounding ones, so more than likely they're the fancy looking knock offs. They might work fine but for me, at that point might as well just order a $20 dollar 3rd party from a known company instead of paying the partial premium for the knock off.

The Walmart sellers with long pinyin name (such as this one - Quan zhou shi qi pan dianzi shangwu youxian gongsi) are selling fake knockoffs

Honestly one of my favorite controllers I've ever used. Huge upgrade from the tiny Joy-Cons.

You can't play every game with them, though. The new Nintendo Switch Sports requires Joy-Cons, for example.

It looks like they specialize in Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers and Pill Organizers. Seems legit.

Lots of Chinese 3rd party sellers have been joining in the walmart recently. (Most of them just got banned by amazon earlier due to the fake review or fake products), for anyone who is going to shopping in walmart online, please be careful.

I was recently thinking of buying one of these, but it is losing its appeal. I am thinking of getting the brook adapter, and using a controller I already have, probably playstation because of gyro controls. The only thing I would miss out on is amiibo support. I don't have any anyway.
