I have several pieces of ikea furniture around 20 years old (my favorite being a jerker desk). That being said the quality has went down, and even prior to the last 2 years prices had gone up. Also going to the store is a bit of an exercise in frustration because so much is out of stock. All that said, nice coupon if you need something from there.

Last time I placed an order with IKEA for delivery they did nothing for over a month and then I finally cancelled it to get a refund. They had it all in stock so not sure what the problem was. Very disappointing and I won't go back to them.

I have a queen bed from Ikea, moved 4 times so far and still goes well, it's going to be a decade in 5 months and we used it for solid 8 years as our primary bed, last 1 and a half year we kept that as guest room bed since we moved last time. Not sure which one you had a bad experience, their $10-20 coffee tables are called furnitures as well but it contains paper inside and Sri can break easy. Well mentioned in the item description what that furniture is made up of. Please check and buy for the purpose.

Their stuff doesn't break. You may need to tighten it over time to ensure that though.

Also, their have a trade in program and do try with recyclable materials and sustainable woods.

I have a bigger Malm dresser. It's been with us for 8+ years and gone through 3 moves. Still looks brand new minus some knicks on the corner from moving.
