I highly recommend you add some blue lawn dye to the bottle so you can tell where it's spraying. Also helps bc some of these sprayers don't work. I found out after doing about 1/2 acre that my sprayer doesn't work. Also if you do get a good sprayer save it for next time just in case.

How does this work for larger yards, say 2-3 acres? Would spraying only around the house and areas with higher activities work? We've been spraying bug sprays… Wonder if this would be a good fit for our lawn.

Anyone know how to avoid hurting bees or other helpful bugs when using this? I believe the documentation says it can kill such insects if you make direct contact. Would applying this in the evening be adequate to keep mosquitoes at bay without hurting other bugs?

This is better for spraying your lawn/trees/shrubs. I have property as well and basically just use it on the "nicer" areas of my property and use it as a barrier into the woods. For along the house I'd use something like Sevin Dust granules to create a barrier. If you want to step up your DIY pest game, there are websites where you can get products like Talstar. Mix that one in a pump sprayer lay a barrier around your exterior.

Used to use these and switched the granules with my handheld broadcast spreader for my small lawns. These are good for trees, keeping off aphids or whatever.

100% agree. Not saying the spray variant doesn't work, but the granular application lasts significantly longer in my experience.
